About the Role

Reporting to the COO, the Head of Happify Health (HH) Sales will be an integral part of the leadership team driving growth and market awareness for the Large Employer and Health Plan markets at a fast-growing early stage company. The Head of Sales will be a player/coach and will drive new sales growth and customer acquisition to meet or exceed sales targets by creating and executing the sales and consultant strategy; leading the team to develop and maintain a strong new business pipeline; leveraging personal network and relationships to build the pipeline and drive sales for these markets; managing early and late stage opportunities; developing strong client relationships; and configuring solutions that drive value for and retain customers and position HH as a collaborative and innovative Business Partner.

To be successful in the role, you will partner cross-functionally with the leadership team to continue to build market awareness and consultant relationships and to drive successful proactive and competitive sales activities that drive growth in the Employer and Health plan space. Successful candidates must have demonstrated success in selling and leading sales teams to exceed sales targets; a proven track record of success as a player coach and in ultimately building out sales teams and required support in the large employer and payer space; strong personal network with large employers, national consultants as well as payers; deep understanding of healthcare/benefits ecosystem, metrics, data and ROI requirements for configuring solutions that meet employer and payer goals; exceptional communication skills, and ability to translate long-term strategies into actionable, motivating, and measurable sales goals and results.

Essential Job Functions
  • Lead the sales team in driving growth and achieving sales targets in the Employer and Health plan markets.
  • Create and implement sales and consultant strategies to accelerate growth and achieve sales targets.
  • Build strong relationships with consultants and key industry groups and associations to support growth and HH reputation in the market.
  • Partner with Head of Enterprise Marketing to drive market awareness, social media, conference and other strategies to drive lead generation and support sales success.
  • As player coach, lead the sales team in targeting, building and advancing the new sales pipeline.
  • Take ownership of the sales cycle from lead qualification through contracting and work with HH colleagues to outline high level solution design and ensure aligned goals and objectives.
  • Partner with HH colleagues to showcase/demo HH solutions and design customer solutions that drive value for customers and close sales.
  • Work with colleagues in Solution Design and Implementation to successfully advance and complete the procurement process including security/privacy reviews and contracting.
  • Provide voice of the customer/market insights and feedback to the Leadership team to ensure differentiated, effective, profitable products that meet strategic needs of client prospects.
  • Work with Chief Scientist and Happify Labs in identifying research activities and outcome studies that support HH’s value proposition and differentiation in the market.
Required Skills and Experience

Relevant Work Experience:

  • 10+ years of successful solution sales experience with National Account/Large employer clients in benefits/healthcare consulting and/or wellness, DM or health plan sales
  • 5+ years leading new business sales teams in the large employer and/or health plan space
  • Successful experience working in a healthcare related start-up strongly preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Successful track record in leading new sales and individually selling healthcare solutions to Fortune 100 clients
  • Strong relationships with National consulting houses
  • Strategic thinker with demonstrated success in assessing client and market needs and goals and configuring solutions that drive value and close business
  • Strong consulting and solution sales skills
  • Strong existing relationships/”rolodex” of large employer and health plan decision makers
  • Demonstrated success as player coach
  • Deep healthcare and market knowledge
  • Highly collaborative leader, effective in working cross-functionally as a member of the leadership team
  • Familiarity with SalesForce to manage the pipeline and team
  • Demonstrated success in fast-paced start-up environment preferred

Education: Bachelor’s degree required, with advanced degree preferred.

Implementation Manager

About the Role

Reporting to the VP of Client Solutions and Implementation, the implementation manager will be an integral part of the Client Solutions & Implementation team driving growth and customer satisfaction at a fast-growing early stage company. Candidate will ensure that procurement and implementation deliverables for current and future client engagements are delivered on-time, successfully deployed according to customer specifications, and effectively communicated throughout the process.

To be successful in the role, the successful candidate will have the ability and flexibility to multitask and collaborate with others working across various geographies and global regions. Requires exceptional detail orientation and effective communication with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure implementation success.

Essential Job Functions
  • Maintain accurate and current records in our project management tool Asana for internal and external reporting.
  • Work to implement client accounts by coordinating with marketing, sales, and ops department in creating boarding process flows, timelines, customer order forms, capacity planning and presentation materials.
  • Engage with customers on day-to-day follows ups, meeting notes, and organizing effective solutions to ensure success.
  • Work with VP of Customer Solutions and Implementation, along with Chief Experience Officer to ensure operational processes are optimized to drive activation & engagement, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction.
  • Ensure DropBox file folder storage and HIPAA folders are accurate and up-to-date on various templates, artifacts, and processes.
  • Help to organize agenda items for discussion at the weekly staff meetings.
  • Help to support RFPs/RFIs, including and not limited to various Procurement related tasks around Security Reviews and Contracting.
  • Collaborate and coordinate related tasks with IS Compliance team to ensure prompt resolution and internal enhancements by understanding and capturing customer requirements and Service Level Agreements.
  • Coordinate with Account Management lead to ensure proper handoff of responsibility and follow up after implementations go-live.
Required Skills and Experience

Relevant Work Experience:

  • At least 3-5 years of professional experience working in healthcare industry
  • Project management experience preferred
  • Working in consulting industry a plus

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Task and detail oriented, very organized and ability to interact with customer(s) as needed
  • Ability to understand key nuances of healthcare marketplace and market knowledge
  • Curious and collaborative problem solver
  • Required proficiency in various programs including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio, Asana, G-Suite
  • Demonstrated success in fast-paced start-up environment preferred
